To Discover performance artists’ talent in rural and underprivileged communities

Registration: Visits to each community to introduce the competition and meet the artists

Audition: Held in each participating community. Artists have 4 minutes to impress the panel of Tshisa Talent judges.

Round 2: the best artists in each category go through to a Round 2 public performance where the door takings contribute to prize money for the Grand Finals.

Finals: A high profile red carpet gala event with celebrity judges. Winners receive prizes including cash, websites, photo shoots, Promo DVDs and guaranteed gigs.

To Develop these artists through skills development programs and workshops. 

Skills Development Workshops will be run with participants who have shown potential for personal and professional development over the previous phases.

Artists will gain valuable professional and personal skills that will greatly assist them in forwarding their sustainability and job creation opportunities.

Facilitators and teachers will be drawn from local industry professionals

Focus will be on:

• Skills development specific to the genre
• Business and Marketing skills
• Financial Management and Income generation
• Performance and presentation skills
• Production skills related to industry standards
• Career guidance and Life Skills
• Collaboration opportunities.

To Promote these artists for job creation opportunities. 

A vital phase to secure the sustainability of both the project and the artists.

Artists who have excelled in the Discovery Phase will be registered on a talent base website www.bigcircle.co.za along with other top name professionals

This database serves as an artists’ agency to market the artists to hotels, restaurants, event organisers, festivals, theatres etc

Other opportunities are created through local municipal events such as Youth Day, Heritage Day and Dec 16thcelebrations.

The artists will be mentored through their initial performances to ensure they understand the demands that will be placed on them in the corporate and profession world.
